INTEGRATED SELF RECOVERY SYSTEM INSTALL GUIDE - REDCAT GEN8
REDCAT GEN8 INSTALL GUIDE:
Please note: If you are running aftermarket or different bumper mounts than shown you will either need to switch to this style or modify your current bumper mounts to work with this kit. Some modifications may be required to make this kit work for your vehicle.
Mounting the Pulley
Install the pulley into the factory hole in the bumper mount as shown. The pulley screw will replace the factory bumper mount screw. Make sure to not over-tighten the screw so that the pulley spins freely.
Mounting the Shoulder Screw
Replace the rear servo mount screw with the included shoulder screw. It may be easier to put the loop end over the hole before installing the shoulder screw.
Attaching the Line to the Front Bumper and Routing Line:
For the Gen8 stock bumper it is best to use one of the factor shackles to hold the line as shown so that you can minimize any rubbing of the shock cord when in use as it provides the straightest line through the truck. Route the line as shown.
IF YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE MULTI HOOK TO INSTALL:
You will need to use a lighter to melt the end of the kinetic line and then re-tie the figure 8 knot to secure the multi anchor back onto the end of the line as shown below. You MUST use a figure 8 knot in this location as it is designed to tighten under load.
Here are some bumpers we have found to work well with our Integrated Self Recovery System:
